The Chairman governing council of The Ladoke Akintola University, Prof Ayodeji Omole, has applauded the governor of Oyo State His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde over his promise to commission the College of Agriculture, Mineral Resources, Iseyin Oyo.
Omole who went back to how the project came into existence said that Lautech which was formerly owned by two states and lacked poor funding, was resolved when the Seyi Makinde-Led Administration took up the courage to own the affairs of the institution.
He further went further to say that it had been in the mind of the Oyo State government to also construct a college of Agriculture which has finally come into fulfillment with collaborative efforts.
The chairman , however said that the people of Oyo State most especially Iseyin town , will never forget the great achievement by the governor.
In his own speech, the governor of Oyo State , Engr Seyi Makinde stated that in the next three weeks , students in their large numbers will begin to resume with immediate effect.
Speaking about the coronation of the new Aseyin of Iseyin, the governor promised that he will come back to install the monarch as soon as possible.
However, a one time President of Nigeria, Chief Matthew Olusegun Obasanjo expressed grattitude to Governor Makinde for a remarkable achievement recorded in Oyo state which according to him is a sign of democracy.
Obasanjo noted that the big edifice which has been built is clearly seen as a standard that cannot be comparable to any other institution.
