Moyo Lawal, popular Yoruba Nollywood actress, has finally broken the silence over her leaked x video going viral on social media.
Punch Headlines recalls that the actress became a trending topic after a video of her with an unknown man went viral on social media.
Since the video clip found its way to the internet, netizens have continued to react differently to the video. While some slammed the actress over the video, saying she intentionally leaked it for publicity, others wondered why she allowed a man to record her while they were making out.
The actress has, however, taken to her official Instagram page to react to the video.
She dismissed rumors that she was the one who deliberately shared the video herself, stressing that the video was shared without her consent.
She, however, threatened to take legal action against anyone responsible for the sharing of the video.
Her statement reads, “A private video of mine from a while ago has been inappropriately shared without my consent, violating my privacy and trust. I want to emphasize that this video, done with my ex I was about to marry at that time, was never intended for public consumption, and its unauthorized distribution is a breach of my personal boundaries. However, this criminal breach of privacy will definitely be treated with legal action.
“It really hits me funny because I have always maintained a strict approach to my s*xuality, even going as far as being celibate for a few years, refusing to date often, and choosing to be alone most times. However, I am determined to not let this unfortunate incident break my spirit.
“I appreciate the support and understanding of those who have reached out to me during this challenging time. Please know that your kindness and goodwill mean the world to me.”
