The Federal Government has announced a new date for the 2023 population and housing census.
Recall that it was initially scheduled to hold on March 29. It has however been shifted to start on May 7 to end on May 9.
The Minister for Information and Culture, Lai Muhammed, made the announcement today, Wednesday, at the Federal Executive Meeting,FEC, presided over by the president, Muhammadu Buhari, in Abuja.
He further added that the postponement was as the result of the shifted gubernatorial election of March 11 to March 18.
