Following the happenings, some corps members regained freedom.
The Punch Headlines obtained that the corps members were kidnapped on August 17, 2024, along the Funtua-Bisau Road in Zamfara State.
The NYSC worked closely with the Army, Police, DSS, and traditional rulers to secure their release. They also held discussions with the governor of Zamfara State regarding the situation.
