Following the latest happenings, Federal Government has instructed commercial banks to issue new Automatic Teller Machine Card to serve for multipurpose.
The announcement was made by the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, during the a press briefing at the valedictory Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting presided by the outgoing President, Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja.
Daily News Bulletin gathered that Nigerians can ask their banks for the multipurpose card as it will function for both debit and National Identity Number card.
Added that no fee attached to the collection of the new ATM Card.
According to Is Pantami, “It is going to be a form of multipurpose card where it will serve as National Identity on the one hand and your bank cardon the other hand, either Mastercard, Visa, or any kind of card”.
