The German club, Bayern Munich, has suspended their player Sadio Mane and are taking a fine from his £17million-a-year salary for “misconduct”.

Tuesday ended badly for Mane after his side lost 3-0 to Manchester City in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final at the Etihad.

The Senegalese star reportedly punched teammate Leroy Sane in the face in a spat after the loss to Man City.

Bayern Munich have suspended the Best 2022 African Footballer of the Year winner until further notice after a locker room fight with Leroy Sane on Tuesday.

The Senegalese star, who was pictured in Bayern training alongside Sane this morning, has not been sacked.

However, Bayern confirmed in a statement that he had been left out of the squad for the crucial Bundesliga fixture with Hoffenheim at the Allianz Arena next weekend.

The club also indicated that Sadio who earns £17million a year will receive an undisclosed fine.
